Our Technology team supports E-commerce, Mobile, IT & Cloud Infrastructure, and Corporate Systems at Lowe’s India, enabling various functions such as supply chain, merchandising, distribution, corporate services, etc. The Data & Analytics teams help make data-driven decisions in merchandising, store operations, finance, and supply chain. The Business Services team builds business services capabilities across Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Enterprise Item Content, and Private Brands. The Finance and Accounting team manages Transaction Accounting, Customer and Inventory Accounting, Margin and Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Finance support, Tax and Enterprise Strategic Sourcing for the U.S. and Canada business. The Product Management team builds and manages tech products and solutions for our stores and online channels. And Lastly, our Shared Services team empowers other groups to do their job well.

Job Summary:

The Analyst, Cost Management and Global Sourcing team should have knowledge and hands on experience to play the following role:

  • Help analyze impact of tariff and commodity prices on product cost
  • Provide insights and recommendations to business for driving better negotiations with vendors
  • Ensure on time and accurate delivery of all cost related requests
  • Report, Monitor and analyze and report out business performance, financial results and other KPIs which define the business
  • Be a go-to point for all data and insights needs for the business.
  • Ability to present insights rather than providing numbers to business.
  • Help with changes in reports and other modifications including conducting adhoc analysis and reports building as per business needs
  • Communicate independently and effectively with stakeholders on scope of project, presenting results, reconciliation of data etc.
  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with team members and partners

Qualifications & Qualities:           

  • Graduate or post-graduate (MBA Finance Or degree in quantitative fields like Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics)
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Understanding of retail business particularly in area of product sourcing
  • Experience of working on vendor cost management, price negotiation insights will be preferred
  • Strong data collection, collation and cleansing skills using tools like SQL, SAS or other tools like R, Python
  • Strong knowledge of advanced MS Excel
  • Knowledge of any one of the data visualization tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI will be preferred
  • Strong independent ownership and drive to make sure projects/deliverables are pushed through
  • Strong communication skills – being able to manage upward, peers and offshore teams. Being able to translate business requirements to actionable deliverables
