Description

An RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Business Analyst plays a critical role in healthcare organizations, overseeing the entire process of managing the financial transactions and workflows that result from patient care. This includes everything from patient registration and insurance verification to coding, billing, and collections.

Job Responsibilities

The RCM Business Analyst is responsible for the oversight and optimization of the revenue cycle processes within the healthcare organization. This role ensures efficient billing, coding, and collections to maximize revenue, minimize denials, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

RCM Business Analyst and project team, primarily an Individual contributor role (80% IC + 20% Management).

Lead and manage the RCM Project, including billing specialists and collectors.

Conduct regular meetings, provide training, and support.

Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration to final payment.

Monitor and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of billing and collections processes.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to payers.

Manage the denial management process, including tracking, analysis, and appeals.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance.

Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.

Develop and manage the RCM department budget.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.

Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in revenue cycle management.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve patient satisfaction.

Works with technical team to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Prioritizes requirements, schedules task, and communicates progress.
